About us

As a proud Alberta Civil Engineering company, our work ethic at TeckEra is driven by four simple principles that are very important to us:

Flexibility & Versatility.

We always know what is going on in the field because we spend time there. At TeckEra, each of us plays more than one role. We may start a meeting wearing a suit and tie, and finish dressed in steel-toe boots, hard hats and coveralls. This sets us apart from other firms. Our clients, new and long-term, have access to a civil engineering company and expertise that includes subdivision re-zoning, planning and design to construction budgeting, scheduling and project management, and we are not afraid to get our hands dirty.

Because our expertise is under one roof, we can also be flexible with rates. We bring our own equipment on site, keep travel expenses low and bill for tasks completed, and not according to employee designation.

Responsive.

We are straight shooters and big on communication. Because TeckEra is nimble with lower overhead costs, we are not just responsive, but available when your civil engineering project needs extra attention.

Relationships.

We are a small company big on face-to-face relationships. As an Alberta Civil Engineering company, we become an integral part of our clients’ communities, including our Indigenous and rural clients’ communities, learning how they operate, showing up for their town hall meetings, and accommodating those with limited resources and funding.

OUR TEAM

Glen Pitt

P.L. (Eng)

As Principal and Engineering Manager of TeckEra Consulting, Glen oversees the delivery of services for the firm. He is a diverse professional with over twenty years of experience in all aspects of municipal Engineering, including client liaison, project management, technical design, reporting, surveying and construction.

Glen thrives on building relationships with his clients and stakeholders and managing differing expectations to achieve a practical solution—it is the most rewarding part of his work. He believes taking a hands-on approach is what builds team spirit at TeckEra. He knows the work must get done, but feels it is as important for his team to be laughing and happy throughout the project process.

Glen is proud that TeckEra always finds a way to give back to the communities in which they work and live, whether it is volunteering time, technical expertise or building a new playground.

Tyler Broadstock

Tyler is a Senior Cadd/Civil 3D Technologist in charge of all aspects of drafting at TeckEra. With over 20 years of drafting experience, he is proud to be a small, but essential cog in the company wheel, assisting in the development of a client’s abstract idea and dream into something real and tangible on paper.

He is fulfilled in his work, combining the creative with the technical, and he stays motivated seeking the approval of both client and county, all the while laughing and learning with his colleagues. In fact, he has so much fun, days fly by at work, and he is thankful for the opportunity to be part of the TeckEra team.

Tyler attributes TeckEra’s repeat business to the team’s dynamic. Clients respect their positive outlook and friendly approach, and he believes receptivity to ideas and open, honest conversation with clients contributes to the success of a project every time.
